Specialised Trainers’ Training Programme under CEDA. The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) in association with Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Directorate of Social Defence, Gujarat State Handicapped (Divyang) Finance & Development Corporation, Govt. of Gujarat has set-up the ‘Centre for Empowerment of Differently Abled’ (CEDA) at the Institute.
The centre has been set up to promote entrepreneurship, employability and livelihood activities among the differently abled. The project is aimed at unleashing the entrepreneurial potential of the differently abled through capacity building and training to ensure enterprise creation, employability and sustainable livelihood options.
On this line, a 5-day Residential specialized Trainers’ Training Programme under CEDA was organized from 27th June to 1st July, 2022 at EDII campus. 31 participants from various development organizations working across Gujarat namely, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Surendranagar, Dahod, Botad, Anand, Mehsana, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Porbandar and Kutch participated in the programme.
The purpose of this programme is to create cadre of trainers for conducting training in the field of entrepreneurship and skill development for divyangjan of Gujarat. In this programme, various topics on entrepreneurship were covered like developing entrepreneurial qualities among divyangjan, solving the challenges faced by them, various schemes of Government for their economic development, organizing training programmes for creative self-employment etc.
Shri Sunilbhai Rathod, Representative of Gujarat State Handicapped (Divyang) Finance & Development Corporation graced the inaugural event on 27th June, 2022 and gave insightful information on the various schemes available for divyangjan to the participants.
So far, CEDA has impacted 2622 Divyangjans through various capacity building programmes.
These trainers will conduct seven types of training programme in the field viz. Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, Community Outreach Programme, Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme, Thematic Programme, Developing Soft Skill Programme, Livelihood Programme and Entrepreneurship Development Programme for divyangjan of Gujarat.
