Amit Sial had to learn Poker for his role in Kathmandu Connection. Contrary to the various characters he has played that requires him to be stern, Amit Sial has quite a different side to him. The actor who is adored for his intense portrayals and nuanced characters, is quite fun off camera and loves exploring new things. Having a packed schedule,
often can leave one with no time to learn and explore new things. However, Amit Sial made most of his free time during the shoot schedule of his upcoming show, Kathmandu Connection, which will soon be streaming on SonyLIV.

Amit, who plays a police officer in the show wanted to make sure that every scene is accurately portrayed. For one casino scene, Amit’s character was required to play a round of poker, Amit who hadn’t played the game before, decided to learn from people around. Taking the understanding of the game a notch higher, he pushed himself to learn not only the basics but also made it a point to understand the right ways of playing with professionals. However, the fun part is that the game that started off as a requirement for his role in the show, eventually became an activity for the cast to enjoy during their time off.

Beyond his prep, Amit also spent his leisure time, playing poker with his co-stars Anurag Arora and Gopal Dutt to keep bettering himself and his skills. The actor recollects that it indeed became their preferred pastime on the sets of the show. Kathmandu Connection on SonyLIV also stars- Gopal Dutt, Anurag Arora, Anshumaan Pushkar and Aksha Pardasany in the lead. Stay Tuned for Kathmandu Connection, this April only on SonyLIV
