CDSL reports a 68% (YoY) and 5% (QoQ) increase in Consolidated PAT

CDSL Asia’s first and only listed depository, announced its audited consolidated and standalone financial results for the quarter and half year.

Key Highlights (YoY)

Consolidated

ü  Total Profit after Tax for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs.

19.81 crore (68%) to Rs. 48.87 crore from Rs. 29.06 crore of the previous quarter.

ü  Total Income for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 31.81 crore (46%) to Rs. 101.16 crore from Rs. 69.35 crore of the previous quarter.

Standalone

ü  Total Profit after Tax for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs.16.11 crore (73%) to Rs. 38.06 crore from Rs. 21.95 crore of the previous quarter.

ü  Total Income for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 26.57 crore (51%) to Rs. 79.15 crore from Rs. 52.58 crore of the previous quarter.

Key Highlights (QoQ) Consolidated

ü  Total Profit after Tax for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 2.15 crore (5%) to Rs. 48.87 crore from Rs.46.72 crore of the previous quarter.

ü  Total Income for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 15.15 crore (18%) to Rs. 101.16 crore from Rs.86.01 crore of the previous quarter.

Standalone

ü  Total Profit after Tax for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 1.05 crore (3%) to Rs. 38.06 crore from Rs. 37.01 crore of the previous quarter.

ü  Total Income for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 increased by Rs. 12.19 crore (18%) to Rs. 79.15 crore from Rs. 66.96 crore of the previous quarter.

The market capitalization of the company is Rs. 4807 crore as on the closing price of the previous day.

Business Highlights

During the last three months, the number of new active Beneficial Owners accounts withCDSL has increased by 29 lakhs taking the total number of active beneficial to 2.61 crores.

These Depository Participants comprise of Clearing Members, Banks, Custodians & Non-Banking Financial Companies.

In the quarter ended September 30, 2020, your company through its subsidiary CVL continuedto generate capital market investor records under CVL, and being the first and largest KYC Registration Agency (KRA) in the country.

We have also initiated new services in line with transformation and requirements of the current times to promote #GoDigital. In addition to our e-voting services, we also offer services to hold Annual General Meeting through Video conference, to make AGM a hassle free event for the shareholders and the company. We also provide email updation services to companies to update their shareholder database, to ensure that the dissemination of communication to the shareholders is valid, sufficient and productive.
