Godrej Interio bags another contract for Cochin International Airport’s upcoming Terminal-2.

Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group announced that its business Godrej Interio, India’s leading furniture solutions brand, in home and institutional segments, has won the contract for interior and MEP work for the transit accommodation at the Cochin International Airport’s Terminal 2. This is a key project initiated by Cochin International Airport (CIAL) for setting up this heritage building. The scope of work for this project spans across 55,000 sq ft and includes carrying out Civil Finishes, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, ELV, Fire Protection and BMS works.


As the busiest airport in the state of Kerala, Kochi airport handles 61.8% of the total air passenger movement in the region. Godrej Interio has been partnering with the CIAL authorities since 2015 for the significant renovation work aimed at enhancing the infrastructure at Kochi International Airport. This marks its third project in collaboration with CIAL. This particular project is a short-term endeavour scheduled to be finished within a 9-month timeframe, with the transit accommodation space expected to be accessible to the public in 2024.

Previously, Godrej Interio has successfully completed the following projects for CIAL since 2015:

·         Cladding and finishing works for the new international terminal T3 at CIAL

·         Civil works for the Modification of existing International Terminal (T1) to Domestic Terminal at CIAL

·         Mechanical & Electrical works for the modification of existing International Terminal (T1) to Domestic Terminal at CIAL

·         Additional Facelift Works for the Airside for the Terminal Building T1
