Pudumjee Paper Half Year PBT up 57%. Pudumjee Paper Products Limited (PPPL), which is engaged in manufacturing and marketing specialty papers and hygiene products, has reported impressive results for the six-month period ended 30 th September, 2022.


During the six-month period ended 30 th September, 2022, the Company produced 30786 MT of paper, 31% increase over 23453 MT produced during the same period in the previous year. While the Turnover for the six month period increased by about 66 % to Rs.39410 lacs (Rs.23720 lacs), EBIDTA for the period increased by 44% to Rs.5599 lacs (Rs.3883 lacs) due to improved operating efficiency and capacity utilization.


Total Profit Before Tax for the six-month period ended 30 th September, 2022 showed a rise of 57% and stood at Rs.4809 lacs (Rs.3070 lacs). The company manufactures various specialty papers required as input for packaging material, various food products, pharmaceutical and other products, hospital supplies,
hygiene sectors, food, confectionary etc.


The Company’s Paper Division is currently operating at about 86% of its capacity as against 65% for the corresponding period in the previous year. The Company believes that the capacity utilization should gradually improve as the economy returns to near normalcy. The Hygiene Products Division which primarily caters to Institutional business is also actively performing at about 55% of pre-pandemic level.
