(NSE: UPL & BSE: 512070 LSE: UPLL) (‘UPL’) a global provider of sustainable agricultural products, has been awarded Best Patents Portfolio and Best Trademarks Portfolio in the Life Science and Agriculture, Large Enterprises category at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Industrial IP Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
UPL was recognised for its creation of products that meet farmers’ needs and advance the transition to more sustainable food systems. Examples of UPL’s successful R&D and innovation cited in the award include its Zeba biosolution input and the ProNutiva programme, both of which have proven extremely successful among farmers. UPL currently holds over 1700 granted patents and about 3500 pendingapplications.

The CII Industrial IP Awards celebrates enterprises who have championed intellectual property development and protection to boost both their own businesses and wider economic growth. The CII award follows an IP Excellence Award awarded to UPL this year by Questel for its advanced products and solutions.
