Vibrant Gujarat – Vibrant Ahmedabad ; 484 MoUs with prospective investments totaling ₹12,571 crores across various sectors.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel while explaining the success of the Vibrant Gujarat – Vibrant District event proudly said that this statewide initiative has led to the signing of 2,590 MoUs across diverse districts, securing investments amounting to 25,147 crores. Moreover, these potential investments are expected to generate over 65,000 employment opportunities.

At the Vibrant Gujarat, – Vibrant Ahmedabad event held in Ahmedabad, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel delivered his address in the esteemed presence of Industries Minister Shri Balvantsinh Rajput and Ahmedabad in-charge and Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel.

During the event in Ahmedabad, 484 MoUs were signed for potential investments worth Rs.12,571 crore in various sectors. This is expected to create approximately 17 thousand employment opportunities in the future.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel remarked that the ongoing success of the Vibrant Summit, initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2003, and the substantial engagement of global investors over two decades have transformed it into a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and networking.

He also expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has become the fifth-largest economy in the world and will reach third place, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, through initiatives like Vibrant Summit and Vibrant District.

Aiming to extend the achievements of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit to the district level, a fresh initiative known as Vibrant Gujarat – Vibrant District has been introduced during this year’s Vibrant 2024. It was emphasized that each district in the state possesses distinctive potential and strengths, and the government is resolute in providing them with a global platform. The Chief Minister reiterated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and reaffirmed the commitment to prepare every district in Gujarat to actively contribute to the development of India.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel further emphasized the strong sense of participation and ownership shown by industrialists and investors at the district level, solidifying the Vibrant Summit’s status as a credible platform for branding and fostering connections.

At the district-level events, participants include beneficiaries of schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, MSMEs, start-ups, self-help groups (SHG), and women entrepreneurs. These events also feature exhibitions, credit linkages, seminars, one district one product markets, as well as B2B, B2C, and B2G meetings.

He wrapped up by affirming, “The principles set forth by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, emphasizing ‘One District One Product’ and ‘Vocal for Local,’ are brought to life through these district-level gatherings.”

He remarked that as a result of the Vibrant Summit’s success and the influx of major industries into Gujarat, a brand new value chain and ecosystem is being established at the district level.

CM Bhupendra Patel conveyed that investments in the Vibrant District Summit will accelerate the scale and pace of industrial and economic development in Ahmedabad, a city that has held the distinction of being Gujarat’s and India’s foremost industrial hub since the early 20th century.

During this event, Health Minister Rushikesh Patel highlighted that the new India of the 21st century emerged from Gujarat under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He further noted that the resounding success of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, initiated in 2003, owing to the Prime Minister’s grand vision, has inspired other states to imitate it and invite entrepreneurs from Gujarat to invest in their respective regions.

Rushikesh Patel stated that numerous industrialists who launched their ventures in Gujarat have now gained global recognition. Gujarat has earned the distinction of being the top choice for global investors due to its policy-driven approach. He highlighted that under the leadership of CM Shri Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat’s industries are advancing with adaptability to geographical, social, and cultural factors. These industries have provided direct employment to 21 lakh people. He mentioned that with Micron, a company set to produce semiconductor chips in Gujarat, new skill development programs have been established to train workers in line with this emerging technology. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to position Gujarat as a leader in both India and the world.

During the event, Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput mentioned that the Vibrant Gujarat Summit was initiated by the former Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi to lead the state towards global development. Vibrant Gujarat serves as a crucial platform for connecting countless entrepreneurs.

Discussing Gujarat’s advancements, he highlighted that Gujarat is responsible for 33% of the nation’s total exports, and it produces 18% of the country’s total production. Furthermore, Gujarat is at the forefront of the startup landscape. He also noted that Gujarat provides the highest employment among all the states.

Moreover, the minister emphasized that the state has implemented measures to ensure that both small and large entrepreneurs can readily access the necessary facilities and support.

Balvantsinh Rajput expressed that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Government of Gujarat and Micron Technology stems from the esteemed visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the United States. He further emphasized that Ahmedabad is spearheading the fields of employment and production and extended an invitation to all the city and district’s industrialists to consider investing in it.

During this event, several industry leaders shared their perspectives, including GCCI Senior Vice President Sandeep Engineer, CII Chairman Darshan Shah, ASSOCHAM Gujarat State Council Chairman Chintan Thaker, and FICCI Chairman Rajiv Gandhi.

They emphasized that the state’s industries have consistently benefited from government support. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit initiated two decades ago with the vision of the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has now evolved into a prominent event much like the World Economic Forum.

During this event, a substantial gathering of dignitaries and officials, including Member of Parliament Narhari Amin, MLA Amul Bhatt, Shri Jitendra Patel, Dineshsinh Kushwaha, Harshad Patel, Amit Thakar, Kaushik Jain, Smt. Payal Kukrani, Smt. Darshana Vaghela, Smt. Kanchan Radadiya, Mayor of Ahmedabad Smt. Pratibha Jain, in addition to Additional Chief Secretary of Mines and Minerals S J Haider, Secretary in charge Mukesh Kumar, Ahmedabad District Collector Smt. Praveena D K, Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation M. Thennarasan, and numerous other officials and industrialists from the district graced the occasion.
