14 MoUs worth ₹3,874 crores were signed as a run-up to the MoU signing series before Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2024

Potential employment opportunities: 2100 in the textile sector, 700 in the engineering sector, 500 in the pharmaceutical sector, and 3085 in the chemical sector

The Vibrant Summit is becoming a global platform for investors and entrepreneurs from home and abroad. In this regard, the State Government has already initiated MoUs with various industries in the run-up to the Vibrant Summit-2024.

In the third phase of this initiative, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, 4 more MoUs with a total investment of ₹1,113 crores were signed on Tuesday, August 8.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the tenth Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, establishing Gujarat as the best destination for investment, is scheduled for January-2024.

Under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the State Government has undertaken a series of plans to make this summit a success.

A single MoU was signed for an investment of ₹300 crores in the chemical sector. Meghmani Crop Nutrition Limited will start a Nano Liquid Fertilizer Plant at Sanand by 2025-26.

On behalf of the State Government, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department S. J. Haider and on behalf of the directors of the industries senior CEOs, MDs, etc., signed MoU in the presence of Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput and Minister of State Harsh Sanghvi.

14 MoUs of investments worth ₹3,874 crores have been signed during this MoU signing initiative which is held every week in three different phases. With the start of these industries, more than 9500 potential employment opportunities will be created in the days to come.

Subsequently, potential employment opportunities will be created in various sectors which include 2100 in the textile sector, 700 in the engineering sector, 500 in the pharmaceutical sector and 3085 in the chemical sector.

These industrialists appreciated the pro-active administration under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel which has enabled them to start industries with ease in the state.

According to the 4 MoUs signed on Tuesday, August 08, industries will commence in Sanand, Desar-Vadodara, Pipodara-Surat, and Dungri in Valsad by 2024-25-26.
As per the MoU, Wonder Cement Limited will start its first project in Gujarat, initiating with an investment of ₹550 crore in the Tulsi village of Desar taluka. This will provide employment to fifty people.

Apart from this, Hami Weavelon Pvt Ltd is going to start a viscose staple yarn and polyester staple yarn project in Pipodara, Mangrol Taluka in Surat, with an investment of ₹114 crores. About 300 people will have employment opportunities from this project.

Not only this, Morai Infrastructure Pvt Ltd will set up an industrial park in Dungri, Valsad district, with an investment of ₹149 crores and will create approximately 3500 employment opportunities.

Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K. Kailashnathan, Industries Commissioner Shri Sandip Sagale, Joint Commissioner Shri Kuldeep Arya, and other senior officers of iNDEXTb were present during this MoU signing.

As a part of the run-up to Vibrant Summit-2024, the state government has already initiated MoUs with various industries.

In the second phase of this initiative, in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, various industries will invest a total of ₹1,401 crores to set up industries in the state through 4 MoUs that were signed on 2 August, Wednesday in Gandhinagar.

Accordingly, 4 industries have signed MoUs with a total investment of ₹1,401 crores in the chemical sector.

These industries will set up their units at Saykha and Dahej GIDC in Bharuch district providing 2285 potential employment opportunities.

The MoUs were signed by S.J. Haider, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Industries on behalf of the state government and representatives of industry houses such as Senior CEOs, MDs.

In two phases of the MoU signing program held every Wednesday, 10 MoUs with a total investment of ₹2,761 crores have been signed for establishing various industries. With the commencement of these industries, more than 5000 potential employment opportunities will be generated in the near future.

1800 potential employment opportunities will be created in the textile sector, 700 in the engineering sector, 500 in the pharmaceutical sector, and 2285 jobs will be created in the chemical sector.

All the industrialists who signed MoU opined that they prefer Gujarat for establishing their own industries as it has the best infrastructure that fulfils Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Not only this, the industrialists lauded the pro-active administration under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel which enables them to establish industries in a hassle-free manner.

As per the MoUs signed on August 2, by 2024-25-26, the industry will be set up by Gujarat Fluorochemicals at Dahej-2 with an investment of ₹50 crores in Saykha and Dahej GIDC to produce lithium hexafluorophosphate used as battery chemical in electric vehicles.

Apart from this, Savita Green Tech Limited will start a plastic bottle recycling project with an investment of ₹493 crore in Saykha GIDC.

Harcros Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. will set up a specialty chemicals plant at Dahej-1 with an investment of ₹300 crores, while Ashu Organic (India) Pvt. Ltd. will start a manufacturing plant for dyes and pigment intermediates in Dahej-3, with an investment of ₹108 crores.
