(NSE: UPL & BSE: 512070), global provider of sustainable agriculture products and solutions, today announced that it has received the prestigious National Intellectual Property Award for the year 2020 in the category “Top Public /Private Limited Company for Patents & Commercialization in India: Manufacturing Sector”. There were 11 categories of National IP Awards and the Honorable Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal presented the award at a virtual event on Tuesday, 17 August, 2021.
Additionally, the Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) along with Intellectual Property Office, India have also conferred the “WIPO IP Enterprises Trophy” to UPL. Previously, UPL had won National IP Awards 2019 in the category of ‘Top Indian Company for Creating Global Brand’ and the ‘WIPO Users Trophy’.
National Intellectual Property (IP) Awards are conferred by the Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to outstanding innovators, organizations and companies in the field of patents, designs, trademarks and geographical indications.
